2-15 Years of hands on experience in writing Production Level Code

Qualification

  • Proficiency in C++. This doesn’t just mean that you read about object-oriented programming in a book – you live and breathe this stuff. You code things well the first time through and you do it fast.
  • You know how to plan, build and maintain fault-tolerant infrastructure in an high traffic environment. This implies a good understanding of UNIX / Linux platforms.
  • Good in depth understanding of Network Technologies (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, Firewall, Routing)
  • Solid experience on software development fundamentals (Data Structures and Algorithms, Problem Solving, OO design, and System Architecture).
  • You have strong understanding of memory management, file I/O, network & socket programming, concurrency, and multi-threading.

Responsibilities

  • Writing server-side code for Company’s massively scalable distributed video streaming platform.
  • Work in technology areas that cover video streaming, TCP/IP networking, multi-threaded programming, distributed computing, system software development.
  • Design and develop software solutions to support streaming formats such as Apple HTTP Live Streaming (HLS), Adobe HTTP Dynamic Streaming (HDS), Microsoft Smooth Streaming.
  • Work as Engineering Subject Matter Expert for escalations from customer facing groups.
