Chief Data Artist (Core R&D): Design Data products

We are looking for strong, self-motivated machine learning and data scientists to develop innovative scalable solutions. You are result and detail oriented, a self-starter, and has proven experience in analytics and making the successful product. You will work with key stakeholders, smart Data scientists, designing, driving data driven products handling the entire pipeline of the product and incorporating in-house analytics.

To aid you in your task, you will have access to petabytes of web data, query logs, click logs, and even session logs, which you can mine using powerful, cloud computing systems. You will be building a smart, distributed computing platform which will consume large chunks of data (we believe gigabytes is old-fashioned) and provide strong insight of consumers and making a difference. Experience

4 plus experience in Deep Learning / Machine Learning.

Qualification

You should have:

  • PhD or equivalent in a quantitative discipline: Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, Economics, Social Sciences etc.
  • At least 4 years of leadership experience in mobile or web companies.
  • Ability to track down complex data and engineering issues, evaluate different algorithmic approaches, and analyze data to solve problems.
  • Ability to develop with (or ramp up fast) with Python, C/C++, Java and Scala (if you can work with distributed computing tools, such as Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, it will be a big plus).
  • Deep knowledge in one of the following areas is a strong plus: text mining, analysis of large social networks, customer life cycles, mobile data analytics etc.
  • Experience with conducting evaluation and benchmarking of algorithms (speed, memory footprint, numerical stability etc.).
  • Experience with recommendation systems, targeting systems, ranking systems or similar systems.

Responsibilities

As a part of Data Science team, you will:

  • Transform large, complex datasets into pragmatic, actionable insights.
  • Leverage data to identify, quantify and influence tangible business gain.
  • Develop highly scalable classifiers and tools leveraging machine learning, data regression, and rule-based models.
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to define and solve business problems and tap opportunities.
  • Do ground-breaking research in optimizing platforms with data-driven optimization algorithms and build data driven systems.
