DevOps Evangelist – Serverless Platform

As the DevOps Evangelist, you will be managing and maintaining scalable, fault-tolerant, high performing distributed systems. You will improve our ability to rapidly deploy, effectively monitor custom applications in a large-scale distributed environment.

Experience

4+ years of experience in building complex distributed systems

Qualification

  • Atleast 4 years of experience as DevOps engineer in a HA and scalable production environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience administering Linux, preferably with distributed systems with large scale.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases (Cassandra, Couchbase, Mongo)
  • Have used Ansible/ Docker/ Puppet or another config management suite, know where it’s broken, and open to trying new things.
  • Ability to recommend, design, build, and support complicated solutions at scale.
  • Designing the HA / DR strategies.
  • Production experience to build scalable systems (load balancers, distributed computing).
  • Ability to maintain, monitor and optimize production database servers.
  • Experience running container solutions desired (Docker, Mesos, Kubernetes)
  • Experience building orchestration and automation solutions desired (Jenkins preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Partner with different teams to design and build highly available and scalable microservices.
  • Deploy, monitor, and administer web apps and underlying services on cloud infrastructure platforms.
  • Manage our upgrade infrastructure and process for on-premise appliances.
  • Improve the performance of our web applications and solve scaling issues.
  • Build tools and automation that eliminate repetitive tasks.
  • Tackle some of the most challenging problems you can face developing high availability services in a distributed cloud environment that needs to scale exponentially.
  • Build automation tools for provisioning and managing our cloud infrastructure.
  • Enhance and manage our continuous delivery pipeline. Enhance and maintain our logs collection, processing and visualization infrastructure.
  • Evaluate and choose emerging technologies…new service protocols and architectures, self-healing capabilities, globally distributed caching, performance and code quality tooling, etc. Determine the right tool for the right task.
